Jamee is a speaker, coach, and former comedian. The loss of her childhood best friend inspired her to focus on the humanities in college. She holds degrees in both psychology and sociology and has added to her education with a certified coaching degree. Her early career began as a counselor at a psychiatric hospital in Maryland. The sudden death of her mother would change the course of her life forever.
Jamee decided to grab life and take big chances. She quit her job, sold her car, and moved to New York City. She found success in the performing arts, including writing original stand-up comedy.
In 2021, Jamee lost her sister to cancer. After the loss of her mother, sister, and best friend, she had an "aha" moment and decided to pivot her career from performer to public speaker and professional coach. Now, Jamee speaks nationally, helping audiences transform their pain into empowerment.
Most recently, she spoke at the annual Head Start California Conference. Her next speech is at a Women and Leadership Symposium in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In addition to coaching and speaking, she is writing her first book, Betting on Better. When she’s not working, she enjoys cooking and traveling with her husband, golden retriever, and imaginary Downton Abbey staff.
